Indonesia is a vast country with more than 17,508 islands. One of those islands holds a special place in my heart. It is where I spent my honeymoon.

Bali is far. Incredibly far. After a day of travel, I was more than grateful to check into my beautiful villa, designed in quintessential Balinese style with rich wood floors, breezy linens, and a stone bathtub. Surrounded by lush plants, a peace came over me, and the stress of more than 25 hours of travel melted away.

Although it’s an island, there are so many regions to travel to. Each is great for something specific. We split our time between the cultural center of Ubud, the secluded jungle, and the Seminyak coast.

There are so many adventures to be had in Bali. For the next two weeks, we spent our days devouring fresh fruit, wandering temples, and trekking rice fields. Some highlights included $10 massages, delicious vegan food, traditional yoga, amazing hospitality, and a nightly dip in our private pool.
