NATIONAL PARK PASS
An entrance fee is required to enter Mount Rainier National park. You can purchase a pass at national park entrances or online.

MOUNT FREMONT LOOKOUT TRAIL TRIP REPORT
Our adventure began at the Sunrise Visitor Center around 6:30 pm, where we parked, laced up our boots, and put on our packs. The trail led us through a picturesque wonderland of alpine meadows, each ridge revealing a new scenic view.
As we made our way upwards, the path transformed into rocky terrain and provided no shade. Upon reaching the Frozen Lake junction, we followed the path to the right, traversing a scenic ridge. From this vantage point, we marveled at the valley below and the majestic mountains that stood guard.

The ascent to Fremont Lookout rewarded us with ever-expanding vistas of Mount Rainier and the surrounding valleys. Finally, as we reached the Fremont Lookout, the world opened up before us in a panorama that seemed almost surreal. Glaciers glimmered in the waning sunlight, and the vast wilderness painted a scene of untamed beauty.
As the sun began its descent, the sky transformed into a mesmerizing canvas of fiery colors. Clouds shifted and blended, taking on hues of pink and orange, while the majestic mountain layers stood proudly. The spectacle was simply stunning, and it left us breathless, humbled by the grandeur of nature's show.

As the last rays of the sun dipped below the horizon, we found ourselves pausing to reflect on the magnificence of the natural world. With hearts full of gratitude and awe, we made our way back down the trail, guided by the soft glow of our headlamps. In this enchanted world, we were graced with encounters of a curious fox and a wise owl, as if the wildlife joined us in our appreciation of the evening.
